University of Pavia, Italy, in 1973.
He joined the Department of Electronics of the University of Pavia as a Researcher in electromagnetics and has been teaching a course in Microwave Theory as an Associate Professor since 1976, and as a Full Professor since 2000. His current research interest concerns the development of numerical methods for the electromagnetic CAD of passive microwave components and of interaction structures for particle accelerators. In 1990, he spent a period as Visiting Scientist at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, CA, where he was involved with the RF group in the design of optimized cavities for the PEP II project.
Mr. Arcioni is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a Member of the AEI.
