Mehdi Alipour Masoumabad was born in Tehran, Iran, in February 1992. He received his B.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering in 2016 in Iran working on Metamaterials as a final project. Then he pursued his M.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering (Fields and Waves) in Iran focusing on Metamaterial-based Leaky Wave Antennas (LWA) when he graduated in 2019. During his B.Sc. he was awarded as an incentive research student in 2015. Throughout his research career, he participated in some projects namely as a research assistant in the Iranian Construction Engineering Organization regarding exploiting Metamaterials for domestic applications. He also has a proper amount of experience in the design and measurement of conformal Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS). He joined the Microwave Lab at the University of Pavia in October 2020 as a Ph.D. student and his most focus will be on microwave sensors and antennas. He is also interested in reconfigurable intelligent Metasurface structures for different applications. Want to know more about me, please check out My Website.
