Giulia Maria Rocco was born in Pavia (PV) on June 24th, 1992. After attending high school in Mortara (IIS “A.Omodeo” – sperimentazione Piano Nazionale dell’Informazione P.N.I.), on September 2011 she enrolled at the Faculty of Engineering in Pavia. In October 27th, 2014 she received the BS degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Pavia with a thesis entitled “Riflettività spettrale nel vicino infrarosso di dispositivi micro-opto-fluidici in vetro: simulazioni e verifiche sperimentali” and the final grade of 110/110 cum laude. Her thesis work was focused on the measurements' analysis of the reflectivity of glass microtubes filled with different types of liquids. From 2014 she attended the MS degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Pavia. Her thesis, which had the title “Substrate Integrated Waveguide Filters Implemented with Additive Manufacturing”, concerned the characterization of materials used in Fused Deposition Modeling technique as well as simulations and experimental measurements of some filters structures realized with 3D printing. She got the MS degree in October 27th, 2016 (110/110 cum laude). During her BS and MS at the faculty of Engineering in Pavia, she attended courses at the IUSS (Institute for Advanced Study) in Pavia, and she expect to receive her diploma on February 2017. She is now a Ph.D. student at the Microwave Laboratory. Her research deals with the study of additive technique for the implementation of microwave components.
