Alessia Cannata was born in 1996 in Milan, Italy. She received the bachelor degree in Bioengineering in February 2019 from the University of Pavia discussing a thesis about the role of imaging biomarkers in the diagnostic rocess across several clinical techniques. She also achieved the master degree in April 2021 in Bioengineering, with the grade of 110/110 cum laude, with a thesis concerning the dielectric and mechanical characterization of bi-modal breast phantoms. From October 2021 she joined the Microwave Laboratory as a PhD student for a project in collaboration with the Bioengineering Laboratory, working on the development of a bi-modal imaging system for early breast cancer detection.
