Lorenzo Silvestri was born in Novara, Italy, in 1987. He received the Master degree in Electronic Engineering in 2014 at the University of Pavia developing his thesis (ReconfigurableTextile Substrate Integrated Waveguide using a P-I-N diode Switched Via) at the Gent University (Belgium). He worked (October 2014/September 2015) with a post-graduate scholarship on the development of new components in SIW technology on innovative substrate at the Department of Industrial and Information Technology (University of Pavia-Microwave Lab.). From October 2015 he joined the Microwave Lab. as a Ph.D student.
